The good times keep on rolling on for BAYNK as he’s come through yet again with two impressive cuts from his forthcoming album ‘SENESCENCE’ in the form of ‘Grin’ and ‘Mr. Jocko’ that once again showcase the ever-growing skillset of the New Zealand-born, LA-based electronic artist and producer being at an all time high.
‘Grin’ begins this instalment with a laid-back groove on offer with a sublime bass line and a crispy percussion setting the tone amongst BAYNK‘s gentle vocals that is as cruisy as they come. With plenty of spaciousness on offer in the production, the vocals stand incredibly tall and shine incredibly bright amongst the stabs of the synth chords throughout the chorus. On the flip side, ‘Mr. Jocko’ changes things up a touch with a shift in energy through plenty of uplift held in the addictive percussive groove that is further accentuated by the bright keys and vocal samples moving in a buoyant manner that evokes a copious amount of colour across the soundscape.
