After making waves in the scene following on from his inclusion in bitbird’s “create together vol. 4” community compilation, Dutch producer Dahliah brings the heat in a commanding new single ‘i wanna dance’, a thick and humungous electronic offering filled with deepened instrumentation and hypnotic vocal hooks that’ll leave you addicted immediately.
With a swift two-minute duration, ‘i wanna dance’ wastes no time in bringing the energy to the arena through the off-kilter groove held in the percussion all while the repeated vocal hook sets the scene. It doesn’t take long at all for the booming sensation to occur in the drop, whereby the synth bass emphatically makes itself known in the spectrum and adds plenty of backbone to an already strengthened mix.
“This release represents a new beginning for me. It’s about embracing my true self and creating music that I find interesting, without worrying about fitting into a specific genre. ‘i wanna dance’ is a celebration of artistic freedom and personal growth. ‘i wanna dance’ is a reference to ‘I wanna do whatever I wanna do’. Screw what everybody thinks, and screw the idea of being an artist that sticks to one thing. Doing the same thing over and over again is boring, and thus you should forever blossom” – Dahliah
