LA-based DJ and producer Sam Blacky and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Niniola have teamed up on a brand new collaboration that packs in some serious groove titled ‘Ronaldinho’, a lively afro-groove inspired offering filled with plenty of uptempo goodness.
‘Ronaldinho’ achieves a high level of liveliness within its duration through a clear and concise focus on the percussive elements, utilising a heavy afro-beat style groove that is the catalyst within the soundscape for moving and grooving. In doing this, it allows the other instrumentation such as the booming bass line and synths to play off the groove in tact, and in doing so gives plenty of room for those soaring vocals to shine.
“As the years have passed, my passion has become more and more integrated with what we know as afro house. When the opportunity came up to work with one of the original, most iconic singers in that realm, all the way from Nigeria, there was no question. I heard what Niniola had done with the vocals for Ronaldinho and knew I had to make this song with her.
