Fresh off the release of the emphatic ‘EMBERS’, Australian-born/Brooklyn-based producer BRUX continues to bring the energy with every release and in the case of her new EP ‘GRAVY’ the trend has never been stronger with four thumping tracks on offer.
‘GRAVY’ ensures incredibly high levels of energy through some of the strongest foundations you’ll come across, that being booming bass lines and commanding beats that set the tone from the ground floor up and provide plenty of power and force that bleeds through your speakers. These set the scene for further depth in production featuring insertions of synths that add plenty of colour to the already jam-packed soundscape on offer.
“The GRAVY ep is all about taking up space – sonically & energetically. I wanted to create a capsule of vibrant tunes that pack a punch & fuse my favourite elements of house, techno, hip-hop & electronica. Collaborating with Baltimore club queen TT The Artist on GRAVY was wild! We met last year at a big writing camp in NYC and have been collaborating ever since – it’s my favourite track to play out in my heavier sets. Big Kick NRG ultimately sets the tone conceptually for the EP, a play on words of “big dick energy”, where I wanted to flip the narrative of men taking up space…”thrown by my silhouette…make some room for the rest..”. Collaborating with bass heavyweight What So Not on the production was a highlight & it takes that tune to the next level!” – BRUX
