Multi-instrumentalist/producer Haux is back with news of his forthcoming sophomore album ‘Blue Angeles’ due for release in 2024, and provides us with an enlightened taste of what’s to come in new single ‘Carte Blanche’ that is a haunting yet humble release that leaves you in awe with its raw beauty.
Produced by Thomas Bartlett (Taylor Swift, Florence + The Machine), Maxwell Byrne (Mallrat) and Aug E. Rose, ‘Carte Blanche’ stuns us from the word go with those hazy vocals that float majestically atop of the mix, all while a raw soundscape filled with a mix of organic and electronic instrumentation produces a luscious soundscape filled with openness and sombreness in its approach.
“I’ve struggled a lot with what I call feeling phonesick. It’s something that’s kept me from getting outside and actually seeing the world with my own two eyes. I wanted to capture that fuzzy feeling where the main character’s caught between his phone screen and his physical world without really existing in either one completely.” – Haux
