Björk and Rosalía have teamed up for a new release titled ‘Oral’, which is in-fact a song that Björk had written over twenty years ago and has since just been sitting in her archives collecting dust. It also features additional beat production by Sega Bodega and comes with a stunning Carlota Guerrero directed music video starring the two artists battling it out with ninja swords.

“I wrote it between Homogenic and Vespertine and it was just too poppy. It just didn’t fit into either of those albums. I just put it on salt. I programmed the original beat, and I guess I was sort of going for some sort of a dancehall mood. When I was listening to the track, I was like, Hmm, Rosalía, her last album was sort of experimental reggaeton. I can really imagine her voice inside this. Maybe that’s a better way to get a guest vocalist, who sort of represents now, and there’s this tunnel into the past, us having this kind of conversation.” ~ Björk

The profits generated by this song will be donated to the environmental association Aegis, which was founded by Björk and other activists. All funds raised will support legal fees for protesters, taking action to stop the development of intensive farms that harm wildlife, deform fish, and pose risks to salmon’s DNA and survival.
