He’s supported the likes of PNAU, Anna Lunoe and Yolanda Be Cool, and now Melbourne-based electronic artist BARLOW continues to make significant waves in the scene with the release of his debut EP ‘Chance’, a three-track release filled with enthralling production with several twists and turns throughout its journey that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Drawing echoes to the likes of Golden Features, ‘Chance’ lures you in with its mysteriousness in its initial stages with an openness in its soundscape created from the combination of synths and pads intertwining beautifully amongst the intensified percussion. As we hit the climax within each of the tracks on offer, BARLOW creates a sense of euphoria through soaring synths and blistering bass that plays off the commanding groove ensuring a festival-style atmosphere no matter where you are listening.
“It’s always been my goal to create records that include a story, weaving a narrative that connects with listeners on a personal level – and what better way to infuse these stories with authenticity than by drawing from my own life experiences. Through this process, I’ve come to know myself better as an artist, diving into the depths of my own creative being.” – BARLOW
