We’re coming back to you all today after a much needed summertime break, and we’re feeling pumped and ready for another big year of discovering and sharing great new music from across the globe.
We’re kicking it all off today with this excellent new single called ‘Back To You’ from Australian newcomer Arky Waters. He’s teamed up with Melbourne artist Jade Alice for her golden vocals sounds, and they do work really well against Arky’s propulsive electronic backdrop – we’ll have more of this please Arky!
“We made this track around COVID times, I sent Jade a DM and I honestly didn’t expect a reply, she ended up being open to working with me even though I had nothing out at the time. I sent over an idea that she vibed with and she sent back the hook that’s currently on the track. Once I heard that hook I basically ended up crafting the song around the vocal. For our first time working together it went super smooth; she’s talented as hell. I’d been a fan of her stuff for a while so it was cool to finally make something together.” ~ Arky Waters
