Smirnoff Australia are prepping for the launch of a new event series called “Smirnoff Origins” which will see them teaming up with some of Australia’s biggest artists and taking them back to the venues that gave them their big-break for a special one-off performance.
The main focus behind these events is to encourage more support for some of the live music venues that have suffered heavily after two years of lockdowns, while also shining a spotlight on some fine upcoming artists.
Smirnoff will be kicking-off the event series in February with Australian dance lords The Presets who will be taking over the iconic Sydney venue, Club 77, which is one of the first venues they ever performed at. The Presets will also be on the hunt for a fresh upcoming act to open this very special event, and they’ll also receive a prize package worth over $50K.

“We’re thrilled to head back to Club 77 to play at Smirnoff Origins, a venue that was so special to us coming up in Sydney music. Live music venues like this play such an important role in supporting up-and-coming musicians and we’re on the lookout for an emerging artist to open our Smirnoff Origins show so we can pay it forward and create an opportunity for the next generation of artists.” ~ The Presets
