Nashville singer–songwriter–producer Mokita has a nice little treat for us this week called ‘High’ which does walk a fine line between the “pop” and “indie” music genres (for me anyways), but then it’s still sitting far enough within that indie realm to suck me right in.
As he reveals below this is a song about dealing with addiction and just taking it one day at a time…
“The bottom line to all addiction is that it is a day-by-day process. And even after three and a half years there are many days where I still crave the very things that were messing up my life. I can easily romanticise the past and forget how much hurt and pain all those addictions caused.” ~ Mokita
