Ark Patrol has a beautiful new single for us this week called ‘Socialite’ which he first created with Veronika Redd back in the spring (you can totally feel those springtime vibes on this song) before teaming up with Courtney Drummey to finish it off, and the results are truly quite stunning.
“Over the pandemic, I was rescued by and fostered a deep love for the timeless Motown drum and bass dynamic, finding it in some of my favorite artists work (Crumb, Sault, Portishead, Khruangbin, even Edie Brickell). So before diving deep into the realm of dance music, I wanted to share one of the experiments in that realm, “Socialite.” Veronika Redd and I started the song this spring and Courtney Drummey helped put the finishing touches on it by the end of summer.
