Mexico City duo Tom & Collins combine their talents with Dubai-based duo Hollaphonic for a euphoric dance floor filler in their collaborative effort titled ‘Honey’, a track that brings forth plenty of emotional context and drive within its three-minute duration that will be a major addition to any club playlist going around.
Depicting a bittersweet narrative of letting go of a failing partner, ‘Honey’ utilises the angst created in the melodies through a gritty and empowered soundscape filled with a thick bass line setting the tone amongst the energetic beats and tantalising synths that screech through the mix. Once all of these elements are combined with the gripping topline on offer, we are met with the ultimate podium to lose ourselves amongst the groove throughout.
“We were stoked about working with Hollaphonic and when we heard this topline, we immediately felt the connection with the lyrics and melody. We are very excited to have our debut on Insomniac with this bass-driven dance banger… we feel it has the right balance between club and an emotional track.” – Hollaphonic
