Los Angeles producer Lincoln Jesser is coming back to us this week with a catchy summertime treat called ‘Center Stage’, which he says was written during the early stages of a new relationship and was ultimately inspired by their mutual passion for 80’s dance music.
“I made this song in the very early days of meeting my now-girlfriend in a quick burst of inspiration and infatuation. It was inspired a lot by some of the music we both love, namely 80s stuff and some of that more modern dance music that I don’t really know how to define, that kind of deep but also very optimistic and open vibe. It was also inspired by me wanting to send her a song to impress her (lol). I think what came out is pop music that feels like mainstream radio pop from a parallel universe. I love the little post hook melody and I hope people think it has the replay value that it has for me.” ~ Lincoln Jesser
