UK artist Harvey Causon has just released a new ep titled “Vertebrae” (streaming link below) and along with it also comes this very cool self-directed music video for the album’s title-track that we just had to share with you.
As Harvey reveals below the inspiration for this song came from a story he was told of his father discovering god and christianity as a teenager, and how he himself attempts to understand it.
“Vertebrae was inspired by a story of my Father at the age of fourteen, stumbling across a church and having an overwhelming experience of believing he was speaking in tongues and in contact with God. He brought this fervour and new found belief to his parents who from that day onwards became evangelical Christians. I wrote this song after being informed that the Christianity that runs in my family stemmed from this experience my Father had. I felt as though I was channelling his experience as a way of trying to understand it.” – Harvey Causon
