Last week we shared a very cool song called ‘lynch‘ by a Latin American duo who go by the name GRLS and with that we also mentioned they’ve just release a 12-track debut album titled “GRLS I” which I’d like to share with you all today.

I will admit I didn’t connect with this album on my first skip through but I left it playing in the background while doing some other things. By the time I was halfway through I started to realise that I was really getting into it and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since.

This is a new favourite for me and will no doubt be one of my top albums of the year.

“This album for us was like having a white canvas with infinite possibilities and no limits. This transcribed into our music in the way we are willing to take risks and disregard genres. This makes every song is different from the other, while maintaining that overall feeling of the record. Collaborating with singers on all of the songs makes the project really dynamic. Working with these singers/songwriters made Lucca & Diego find their voice in their own music. We never thought we would be singing and playing guitar in our own music.

This album embodies the feeling of rebellion and craziness we had in our first year of college. Living in another country, meeting people everyday, making music and creating, doing drugs, partying, everything felt like a movie.” – GRLS
