MY PLAYLIST is a series where we ask some of our favourite artists to share some of their favourite songs, and while it may give us a bit of insight into some of their influences, we’re actually more interested to know what they enjoy listening to when they’re not making music.
This week we’re checking in with Los Angeles artist ELOHIM who has been quite busy over the last couple of months; she’s worked on few collaborative releases with the likes of Felix Cartal, Lights and Party Favor; back in January she gave us the third instalment of her “Journey to the Center of Myself” ep series and this Friday (presave here) she will be giving us vol. 4 of that series which I am very eager to to get into; she’s also just kicked-off a run of LIVE & DJ dates across the USA which will be happening over the next few months and you can check out those dates below!
With all of that going on I thought it an ideal time to check in with her to see what sort of music she’s listening to at the moment and she’s given us a playlist of songs that she says makes her feel authentic beautiful emotions.
…
“Since I was a child music has always been a form of medicine for me. I have always loved making playlists and now in my life, performing live and djing has given me the opportunity to curate a sound for an hour or so for a crowd of humans. It almost feels like a playlist for that moment in time. I chose music to listen to that makes me feel things. Authentic beautiful emotions. I hope you enjoy this playlist it has music by some of my favorite artists.” – ELOHIM
