bitbird are calling on music producers and visual artists around the world to get involved in the third instalment of their community-driven creativity project, “create together”.
The label’s founder San Holo felt there was a need for more creative freedom within the music industry, and over the years the label has established a strong community of young aspiring musicians and enthusiasts of innovative electronic music. This also gave birth to the label’s community based Discord server which over time has became a place for mutual inspiration, collaboration and sharing creative expertise.
“create together” is a one-month challenge that is aimed at taking skills, knowledge and capabilities to the next level. This year they’ve got a full schedule of masterclasses hosted by bitbird artists such as San Holo, Pauline Herr, Tails and Dot, as well as masterclasses on visual art creation from artists such as Hein Hamers (previously part of DROELOE). They’ve also got a whole range of links to educational recourses, discounts on software and hardware, while also gaining access to the Discord community who are always very eager to help out and collaborate with any new creatives joining the project.
The “create together” month and related activities will take place in the bitbird Discord server from March 1st to March 31st, followed by the option to submit your work between April 1st and April 3rd to get a chance to make it on the eventual compilation album
