Over the last few months Canadian artist Tennyson has given us a few pretty great singles that were a prelude to his impending debut album ‘Rot’, which was in-fact released last Friday and I have to say I am quite impressed.

It is a very generous 12-track collection of tunes that were actually written during a period of distress after Tennyson developed a hearing condition brought on by mould exposure, and it is also said to be the “soundtrack of a young artist on the brink of his own disaster.”

“I’m starting to get more of a sense of what my skill set is. Somehow, I’ve gotten a pretty strong handle on controlling sound in a very specific way. I don’t think it’s genius or sparks or something. I think I’m just looking at the right things by luck.” – Tennyson
