Los Angeles duo (and party collective) Dance Yourself Clean are kicking off the year with an electrifying new single titled ‘On Hold’ which has them teaming up with a newcomer out of Utah who goes by the name Olso, and together they’ve created an infectious indie-dance treat that boasts an array of disco, R&B and alternative pop influences. It’s the perfect crowd warmer.
“This song came about because Olso showed up in our “Discovery Weekly” on Spotify and we were instantly a fan of his vocal tone. We reached out almost immediately, because we knew he’d be a great fit for what we’re trying to do. This song pays a strong tribute to the 00’s era indie rock, but with a modern production touch and a splash of R&B with Olso silky vocals. We’re thinking we’d like there to be more of this and a little more of that, so we just make it.
We feel really lucky to be able to work with so many promising artists and let us be the first to tell you Olso is going to be a good one. Keep your eyes on that one.
As for the song…. We’re pretty sure just about everyone can relate to being left “on hold” by somebody. There is actually something quite poetic about it when you’re doing it willingly. But let’s be real, this is a party song where you can hopefully take those feelings out on a dance floor somewhere. Maybe at one of our parties.” – Dance Yourself Clean
