“Waiting for Tomorrow” is the debut album from Los Angeles newcomer Blake Shimoda, featuring an impressive nine-track collection of his engaging alternative-pop/hip-hop sound and style that is quite easy on the ears and creates a nice overall atmopshere – it’s one of those “any time of day” kinda albums.
As Blake reveals below the album is all about change, and whether that’s for better or worse it is always inevitable and ultimately we all need to learn how to adapt and change with it.
“At its core, ‘Waiting for Tomorrow’ is about change. Sometimes change means growth and sometimes it means loss, although both are painful. The album is a journey through many different kinds of change I’ve been through in the past few years. Sometimes I try to fight against change and cling to what I have, but ultimately ‘Waiting for Tomorrow’ is a story about accepting that nothing stays the same forever, for better or for worse.” – Blake Shimoda
