Boo Seeka – ‘Dream’

Australian artist Boo Seeka returns to his electronic/pop roots in impeccable style with the brand new single ‘Dream’, a track born for the summer festival circuit with hard-hitting foundations and soaring electronic production with those hazy melodies scattering across the soundscape with a foggy effect for what is an emphatic output overall.

With an almost robotic-sounding introduction with the manipulated melodies, Boo Seeka stands strong and takes charge of the narrative in the early stages of ‘Dream’ all while the deepened electronic drums subtly bubbles to the surface which draws echoes to RÜFÜS DU SOL in its approach. Despite this, Boo Seeka makes the soundscape his own with those trademark elements of the driving guitar riffs and tantalising synths intensifying the mix all while his gentle vocals provide a welcomed contrast to the jam-packed production on offer.

“Given that the world is now stranger than it probably ever has been, indulging in the obscurities of life has been super important for my writing process.  A world created by my imagination whilst sleeping is what inspired Dream, and was something that felt very easy to write down on paper.  Also, I don’t usually listen to a lot of music when I’m creating, but for this song it was different. Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap was playing when I first started putting pen to paper, and I found myself putting the song on repeat while I wrote the whole track.  This was the start of everything for this track.” – Boo Seeka
