The emotive electronic music movement has been making significant waves in the scene over the last few years, striking a chord with the masses for its ability to strike a chord through an emphatic backdrop, and this week production duo Stereotype continue to see their stock rise within the realm in their debut full-length LP ‘NOWHERE’ that combines heavy lyricism and themes with tantalising instrumentation for an energised output.
Throughout the eleven tracks on offer within ‘NOWHERE’, we see a wide variety of influence on offer with elements of trip-hop, dubstep and trap coming to the forefront with serious impact through a direct and powerful approach. With pristine vocals captivating us in the early stages, Stereotype shake things up in a mammoth way with intensified synths and penetrating percussion providing plenty of surging energy through our speakers.
“This album is a closure for us. After producing this album in many locations and going through many hard times it’s finally done. Nowhere is a metaphor for having a relation to nothing. It’s hard to relate when you are trying to do things differently. People call you names and think you are strange, but in our opinion weaknesses make us stronger during the journey.” – Stereotype
