MY PLAYLIST is a series where we ask some of our favourite artists to share some of their favourite songs, and while it may give us a bit of insight into some of their influences, we’re actually more interested to know what they enjoy listening to when they’re not making music.

This week we’ve caught up with Australian artist Wave Racer who is sharing his playlist quiet please, this is a library”.

“This is a playlist of all the pieces of music I’ve learned something from, hence the title. I sometimes like to listen very critically and actively, in the pursuit of discovering something new that I can take forward with me, whether it be a lyrical idea, a drum sound, a melodic motif, or even a conceptual spark. Every song in this list has all offered me something in that sense.”

Wave Racer is gearing up for the release of his new album “To Stop From Falling Off The Earth” which will be hitting the shelves in September (via Astral People). He’s given us a few tasty samples of that album over the last few months including ‘Look Up To Yourself’ which has just been released this week and you can check that out below as well.
