US producer Rome in Silver has had quite the year with some of the most impressive releases we’ve come across under his belt already, and now he continues to amaze us with his stunning new EP ‘Makeshift Moon’ that utilises a wide range of genre influence with its eclectic nature.
‘Makeshift Moon’ delivers a sparsity across all areas of its luscious soundscapes on offer, combining off-kilter drum patterns that meld in perfectly with the contrasting nature of the instrumentation compiled. Whether that be the enforcing nature of the synths and bass, or the more mellowed out and angelic feeling created by the pianos, Rome in Silver once again caters to all to produce a tantalising release that we can’t get enough of.
“I definitely took in a lot of my surroundings when I made this EP…Each track was written in a different location ranging from Palm Springs to Orange County…they all have a drastically different feel. You can feel the solitude of the desert [on one track] and the uplifting and euphoric mood of the ocean [on another.]” – Rome in Silver
