Last Friday Sufjan Stevens release a brand-new 15-track album called “The Ascension” and it is pretty damn great.
I have given it quite a few spins over the last week and feel that I’ve liked it more with each of those listens, but I do remember my initial thoughts they were; “wow, I think he’s done it again”.
Sufjan fans are going to love “The Ascension” and newcomers might find it a bit intense to absorb at first but I urge you to persevere and I promise you it will be totally worth it.
