Two of the most hyped electronic artists going around in Devault & Manila Killa have bought forth a darkened yet reflective piece that encompasses significant depth in its composition titled ‘You And Me Now’ that sees the vocals of Griff Clawson injected into the moving soundscape.
Starting the piece with the lush guitars that set the scene, it doesn’t take long for the thumping beats to enter the arena alongside the brooding bass line that makes its way through the backdrop before the energetic chorus periods grab us. Clawson’s commanding vocals soaring above the mix that perfectly depict the emotive tone of the story, ‘You And Me Now’ ensures listeners that this gripping nature is a mainstay in all aspects of the track set by Devault & Manila Killa.
“Me and Griff Clawson have been writing music together for quite some time now and he actually is the voice for a lot of the songs on my past ruby tape. We get along really well and I’m excited to release more songs after this with him. You & Me Now was kind of sitting around and shelved for a second and then I hit up Manila Killa to give it some added perspective and he definitely elevated the record to where it’s at now. It’s a nice change of pace for me as the past year I’ve been putting out a lot of dark music and I’ve always wanted to really get to the core of who I am which is a dance artist.” – Devault
