Denver multi-instrumentalist GRiZ takes us on a mediterranean journey down the Caribbean route in the form of a tropical house banger with his latest single ‘A New Day’ featuring Matisyahu on vocals.
With a reggae influence injected from the early on in the piece, GRiZ takes a back seat and allows the charismatic melodies of Matisyahu to captivate our senses in cohesion with the splashes of colour in the guitars. Through a rise centred around the raw percussion, ‘A New Day’ devises its own ‘tropical drop’ in the chorus full of crisp harmonies and warm bass tones heating up the mix before an electrified passage full of vigorous synths and samples creates a buzzing sensation throughout the soundscape.
