New Zealand duo Chores are back this week with a warm, summery, dance-inspiring treat called ‘Vampire Teeth’, which is sure to conjure up all sorts of positive feels.
Fans of Chromeo are going to be all over this one. The boys have drawn influence from those guys, as well as some of their favourite nu-disco pioneers such as Cut Copy and Miami Horror, and with a little help from a fellow NZ songwriter/vocalist Eye Sak Mac, they’ve delivered quite a homage to their peers, and have given us a very infectious uplifting tune for us all to get our groove-on to!
“‘Vampire Teeth’ is a metaphor about the girl that you wished you loved, but it feels more like you own her. You enjoy her at home but enjoy nothing more than going out and filling her with distractions from the outside world.” – Chores
