Rising US duo LEVV share a new track with us this week that is sure to pull on a few heartstrings. It’s called ‘Hands On Me’ and it is an offering of comfort to victims of sexual abuse, which comes in the wake of #MeToo, a movement that has given birth to the voice of those that have been victims of sexual abuse and misconduct.
During her teenage years, vocalist Audrey Assad was a victim herself; “I never wanted to experience this, but I am really grateful we have this band, this outlet in music to help me process and let go of it.”
“I’m proud of Audrey and the courage it takes both in the world and within yourself to talk about these painful experiences. I’m thankful to get to be a part of a vessel that can carry those words to other people who have gone through the same thing.” – says her band-mate and good friend SJ.
