Top 10 Albums of 2017 (by Anthony Glanville)

I’ve been staring at this page for the past 2 hours, and I just don’t know where to begin. My musical journey this year has led me to be much more heavily into single releases, remixes and re-edits, and thanks to the wonders of the modern world, the collective of creative talent means you can have a never ending journey of amazing tracks by artists whom may never make an EP or album.

That being said, this is the list of albums that have shaped my musical journey, and in turn, my life through 2017.

Brent Faiyez (one third of Sonder) created one of the best R&B albums I have ever heard, beautiful, powerful, soulful, heart wrenching, and in my opinion, musical perfection.

1. Brent Faiyez – Sonder Son

2. Che Ecru – Buries

3. Mac Ayres – Drive Slow

4. JMSN – Whatever Makes U Happy

5. Purple Disco Machine – Soulmatic

6. Jungle Giants – Quiet Ferocity

7. Fortunes – Undress

8. Sango – De Mim, Pra Voce

9. Chris McClenney – Portrait in Two

10. Daniel Cesar – Freudian
