Gorillaz have just dropped a surprise track called ‘Garage Palace’ which features the vocal-slinging work of UK artist Little Simz, and in true Gorillaz fashion it also comes with a very cool visual element in the form of a retro 8-bit video game visualiser.
Illustrator McKay Felt and director Noah Harris help pull this “video-game” inspired video together, as we follow Little Simz down darkly lit roads embarking on a series of combats, missions and obstacles, all in the efforts to reach the top of a tower block for her final battle – it is pretty cool
‘Garage Palace’ is available now via Warner/Parlophone Records, and European fans can catch Little Simz supporting Gorillaz throughout November/December as they hit the road for their “Humanz Tour 2017” – click the artwork below for more details
