Aussie producer Golden Vessel is gearing up to release his brand new “Right/Side EP” next month, but today he’s giving us another little taste with this new single and music video for ”Less~More’, which features his good friends and previous collab-buddies Okbadlands.
With the ep’s two lead-singles “Tell The-Girl (ft. Emerson Leif)” and “Shoulders (ft. Elkkle & Mallrat)” both scoring loads of attention from all around the globe, and being added to high-rotation on Triple J, Golden Vessel had some pretty big shoes to fill with his next single – and I reckon he’s absolutely nailed it with ‘Less~More’.
The music video was a collaborative effort between the producer and director Harry Deadman (aka Daily Holla), which was shot on a wide range of film formats and pairing lo-fi visuals with digital images, as they aimed to encapsulate the track’s intricate layers and production.
“I wanted to create a music video that was fast moving, but had this feeling that OKBADLANDS and I were just dancing in front of our bedroom mirrors. I met Harry Deadman and his small team who are into filming multi-format and old-film medium videos and thought the switching between Digital, 16mm, VHS, photos + more formats would create the movement and textures that were within the song musically.“ – Golden Vessel
