‘For Time is the Longest Distance Between Two People’ is the impressive new ep from Brooklyn artist Beshken, showcasing a six-track collection of recordings which feature a variety of field recorded sounds from around Florence, Tel Aviv, Big Sur, and New York, being warped and shaped into rhythmic samples.
Beshken’s backpack containing his laptop, hard drive, lyrics journal and wallet was stolen a last summer while he was waiting for a train, which is sure to send anyone into a metal breakdown, but this guy just started writing the ep again from scratch, and the result sure is amazing.
“I was in a pretty dark place before recording this EP, and the songs are definitely love songs but they come from weakness. After losing over five years worth of music and being in a long distance relationship, writing helped me climb out of constant thought loops.” – Beshken
