Last month Matthew Dear returned to us with his first new track in over four-years called ‘Modafinil Blues’, and I for one am really glad to see that it wasn’t just a one-off.
Today Matthew Dear has another new track called ‘Bad Ones’, which features who I thought an unexpected collaboration with Tegan and Sara, but it turns out Dear has been a fan of theirs for years, and they even teamed up in 2013 for a cover of the Tears For Fears track, ‘Pale Shelter’.
With two new Matthew Dear tracks within a month, it’s looking more likely that there is an album, or at least an ep in the works, and I cannot wait to see what other little surprises he has in-store for us.
You can grab yourself a copy of ‘Bad Ones’ & ‘Modafinil Blues’ over at Dear’s own label Ghostly International, and while we’re all here for the Dear, let’s check out that Tears For Fears cover I mentioned above.
