Melbourne artist Elkkle is a self-proclaimed beat making loner who is unapologetically passionate about music. Recently he featured alongside Mallrat on Golden Vessel’s new single ‘Shoulders’, and this week he has his own new single to share with us.
Elkkle’s new single is called ‘Diderot’, and it’s going to blow your mind in the most weird & wonderful way. To help bring ‘Diderot’ to life also comes with this stunning Rex Kane-Hart directed music video, which is in-fact part of a series of videos Elkkle is working on with him. Each video will generally focus on an isolated figure that embodies the energy and emotion in the song, rather than a character performing or telling you their story.
“On one hand, this song is about how we are often powerless against the rationale of the human condition. On the other, it’s about how we grow and change as people and how those in our life come and go unanchored.” – Elkkle
“The Diderot Effect observes the tendency for people to buy things that compliment their identity, and when they buy things that demonstrate a shift in their identity, a spiral of consumption can follow as they seek to abandon anything that no longer aligns with that identity”. – Elkkle
‘Diderot’ is now available everywhere now including Spotify & iTunes, and Australian fans can catch him live in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney next week as he supports Golden Vessel on his “Shoulders Tour”.
