back in September we shared a brand new track from Canadian duo Junior Boys (which was actually a cover of the 1978 soul hit ‘What You Don’t Do For Love’ by Bobby Caldwell), and made a prediction (wish) that we’d be hearing form them again really soon.
Over the weekend the Junior Boys dropped a brand new original track called ‘Big Black Coat’ which is in-fact the title-track to a new album they plan on releasing through City Slang Records (home of fellow Canadian Caribou). This newby is a whopping seven-minutes long, and its warped, synth-heavy, textured electronic sounds will work you over with their slick hypnotic charm.
Big Black Coat will be out on February 5, 2016 through City Slang Records.
