‘Boys Life’ is the great new synth-pop gem from Brooklyn crew Small Black, the first taste of their upcoming album, Best Blues.
Nostalgic, synthy and dreamy and are three words I’d use to describe this release; the smooth vocal melodies of main-man Josh Kolenik sit comfortably well amongst layers of twinkling synth, atmospheric sounds and a soft pulsing beat – reminds me of LA duo Kisses and I am a huge fan of those guys
