Laurence Guy & Jean Carter have cooked up an absolute monster of a track in the form of a new single titled ‘Not Checkers’, a track that encompasses a significant level of groove and flavour that fans of Channel Tres will absolutely adore.
‘Not Checkers’ makes it its sole mission to transfer an addictive level of groove and energy across its duration, mainly held in the rhythm section but elevated that extra bit further through the sultry vocal delivery that commands you attention and levels up the whole flow of the release.
“This one was a complete surprise tbh…made at the end of a long session at the Future Classic studios in LA. Just as a kinda palette cleanser I guess (yeh I hate myself for using that term too) and it was done within an hour or two…I kinda forgot about it until my manager (big up Niko) tapped me on the shoulder, 4 hours deep into an all night set at Corsica, telling me to drop it…it went absolutely insane in that room and we decided it had to see the light of day!” ~ Laurence Guy
