Jerry Folk – ‘New Things’ [EP]

Norway-born / LA-based electronic musician Jerry Folk delves into a world of nostalgia with the release of a brand new EP ‘New Things’, a four-track release in collaboration with his alias FENGSEL that produces buzzing energy across the uplifting soundscapes compiled.

‘New Things’ contrasts with its titled in evoking a sense of the 80s across its duration, but in doing so ensures a freshness and creative freedom to bring a unique feeling across the productions. Folk ensures that there is uplift and ascendency across the soundscapes with soaring vocals intertwining with the crisp beats and warming synths/pads to ensure a soothing yet glowing texture is achieved.

“This EP is a collaboration between Jerry Folk and my indie-leaning alias, FENGSEL. Each track came together in short bursts of creativity—often within just a few hours. I’ve hardly changed them since the demos to keep them as true to the raw ideas as possible. Soundwise I wanted to make something 80s leaning and band sounding but with all electronic sounds.” – Jerry Folk
