In the lead-up to his forthcoming four-track EP ‘FLOAT’, Brisbane-based producer du0 teams up with Reo Cragun for a beautiful and uplifting collaboration titled ‘Overdrive’ that continues to see du0 continue to flourish in front of our eyes with an ever-growing skillset at its absolute best.

‘Overdrive’ carries forth arguably one of the most catchy and appealing choruses going around, with Cragun’s melodies buoyantly moving around the mix all while being matched by the funky instrumentation of synths and punchy drums that injects a hefty dose of positivity across the soundscape. As the verses allow for plenty of space for Cragun to charm the audience with those swaying vocals, du0 showcases plenty of restraint and reprieve with minimal instrumentation shifting quickly into jam-packed chorus which gives all our spirits a lovely boost.

“I’ve been a big fan of Reo for a long time and to get the opportunity to work with him on ‘Overdrive’ is a dream come true. I wanted to touch on some of my previous more funky tracks, so I focused on funking up the bass guitar to tie in with some more fluffy synth sounds in the chorus. I also got my previous collaborator Fingazz (who has worked with Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars and Machine Gun Kelly) on there to lay down some vocoder and talkbox. Lyrically, it is about the freedom of young love and going all in on someone.”
