Fresh from her performances as part of the recent Listen Out festival run in Australia, GRAMMY® Award nominated artist Tove Lo comes through with her fifth studio album ‘Dirt Femme’, an impressive blend of electronic/pop that invites us listeners into a raw and intimate setting filled with gripping lyricism and powerful instrumentation that’ll leave a mark on you from your first encounter.

Across the twelve individual tracks on offer throughout ‘Dirt Femme’, we see a super-polished soundscape created with hard-hitting instrumentation such as the crisp beats and bass combination that is invigorated by soaring synths which add a significant splash of colour across the mix. Featuring collaborations with SG Lewis, First Aid Kit, and Channel Tres‘Dirt Femme’ energises all within its path whilst taking us on an interpersonal journey with emotionally-fuelled lyricism that truly strikes a chord.

“DIRT FEMME is about me and my relationship with my femininity. When I started out as a writer and an artist I used to view my feminine traits as weaker and would enhance my masculine traits to get ahead in life. I feel a big energy shift in my environment since then and this album reflects the various ways my feminine side has both helped and hurt me. I am a pansexual woman married to a straight main. I believe masculine and feline lives on a spectrum in all humans. There’s so many more interesting nuances than most people wanna accept. Songs on this album will contradict each other, will probably upset some of you, will make you wanna dance, cry, fuck and drive your car really really fast. It’s extremely personal, and is all my feelings, thoughts, and questions put together in under 50 minutes with no answers” – Tove Lo
