FOURA - 'Taste' (Mixtape)

With a string of impressive singles under her belt already this year, Naarm/Melbourne-based producer FOURA continues to go from strength to strength with the highly anticipated release of ‘Taste’, her debut mixtape that showcases a ever-growing artillery within the electronic realm that possesses a significant amount of power and energy within.

Featuring collaborations with the likes of NIK NAVY, r.em.edy, Fresh Hex, Big Skeez and Jordan Astra, ‘Taste’ provides plenty of robustness across its ten tracks on offer showing a vast array of colour and force within the instrumentation on offer. With thumping percussion that dabbles in that UK-garage influence which sets the tone in the backdrop, FOURA elevates each of her mixes with absolute perfection through insertions of vibrant synths, smoothened bass lines and vocal samples which provide a significant level of charisma and uplift that you immediately want to immerse yourself within.

“This was initially going to be a 4 track EP! I found narrowing songs down challenging and wanted an opportunity to share all the genres and styles that I love on the one project, quite an ambitious feat being my first multi-track release. I’m so grateful to Nina (NLV) for the trust, flexibility and support throughout this journey, I feel like I’ve grown a lot finishing this and I’m really proud to be sharing it. It’s got everything from Electronic – to Pop – to Rave and everything in-between. I wanted to share my love of the club from being a DJ for 10 years, my appreciation of the more intimate and tender moments in life and celebrating the pure joy that I get from working with other creatives.
