A few months ago Mexican duo GRLS gave us a very awesome album called “GRLS l”, which I still have on my high-rotation list and I don’t see that changing any time soon, so needless to say I was very excited to see that they have some brand-new music for us already!
They’ve just dropped a new single called ‘kasbah’ which also comes with a self-directed music video that really helps set the perfect scene for the song’s fun, uplifting, late-night housey groove – love the sexy vibes on this one!
“The process of this song began with the acoustic guitar progression accompanied by a trap beat. That same day we wrote the chorus and Lucca recorded it, after a few hours Diego recorded other vocals in English. During the night we worked more on the song adding effects and a second part with a “house” rhythm. A few weeks later, when we came back to the song, we changed the structure to something faster and simpler, removing the trap part.” ~ GRLS
