Australian newcomers Fettuccine (made up of Louis Abell & Sarah Law) gave us their debut single ‘Sent Before Sundown’ just a few months ago which raised a few eyebrows over here at Acid Stag HQ, and I’ve been quite eager to see what else they have up their sleeve.
The duo are coming back to us this week with their next offering, a daydreamy electro-house treat called ‘One Time’ which they say was was guided by emotions rather than the music as they tell a tale of unrequited love.
“We had a lot of lyrical material written from when we were playing in another band, ‘Dad Relax’. During the 2021 winter here in Aus, we revisited the lyrics, written by Sarah and built a home for them in our project, Fettuccine. We started with a basic bass line and lyrics, and built around that. It was really nice to produce around the lyrics, as it was guided by emotions, rather than the musicality.” ~ Louis Abell
