Tiësto & Charli XCX – ‘Hot In It’ NEWCOMERS MY PLAYLIST with Vancouver Sleep Clinic bad tuner – ‘oxygen’ Shoffy – ‘Nightmares In NYC’ bitbird – create together vol. 3 (lp)

Over the last few months Boo Seeka has been building anticipation for his his upcoming second album “Between The Head & The Heart” which is set to hit the stores on June 30th (presave here) and today we’ve got another taste of what we can expect from that album with the sparkling electro sounds of new single ‘Real’.

We don’t have to wait long at all the energy to arrive on this one, with the four to the floor drums bubbling away at the surface and driving the groove alongside those laid-back vocals we’ve come to love with every Boo Seeka release. With a strong synth presence throughout the verses and choruses, ‘Real’ delivers a robust nature without overbearing the mix and as such delivers an infectiousness that you simply want to immerse yourself in at the earliest possible opportunity. With this injection of energy, it is clear to us that ‘Real’ is going to become a festival favourite for a long time for fans of Boo Seeka.

“REAL is definitely one of my favourites on the record for me and has so many different messages embedded in the meaning. I wrote this song at a bit of a low point, with the idea of creating a song that can be a bit of a sing-a-long wherever the listener may be.

My album, Between The Head and the Heart, is twelve separate messages that I wrote throughout the COVID period. I really needed to do this for myself, and it has undoubtedly helped me get through the last 12 months. I never want to give away the exact message or meaning of why I wrote a song, firstly, because some things are incredibly specific and personal, but mainly, I love the idea of a listener creating their own meaning to the track. That’s the most important thing about art and music to me.” – Boo Seeka
