Experimental pop artist Japanese Breakfast, born Michelle Zauner, has officially dispatched ‘Savage Good Boy,’ the third and final single from her highly-anticipated junior album, ‘Jubilee.’ Arriving on the heels of album singles ‘Be Sweet’ and ‘Posing In Bondage,’ ‘Savage Good Boy’ is an indie-pop satire on modern day capitalism. In her self-directed music video, Zauner stars alongside The Soprano’s star Michael Imperioli, artistically hinting at the substitution of materialism for human connection. Still, the song conveys an empowering message directed toward women, or rather toward any empathisers.

Due June 4, ‘Jubilee’ will arrive via Dead Oceans, an American indie label that also represents Phoebe Bridgers. What’s more, Zauner recently announced her appearance at the Barcelona music festival, Primavera Sound, in 2022. On the album, Zauner explained, “After spending the last five years writing about grief, I wanted our follow up to be about joy.” As ‘Jubilee’s’ release date approaches, indulge in Zauner’s latest offering.
