After the year that we all endured in 2020, we could all use a night out to fully immerse ourselves in the good vibes and feelings and for those of you in Sydney, the ivy in Merivale’s entertainment precinct has just announced a bucketload of events that will be sure to tickle your fancy.

There is something for everyone coming up at the ivy, such as Lost Sundays which is brought to you from the creators of Lost Paradise which launches at ivy on 30 May as a weekly Sunday party that emphasises festival culture as well as your daily dose of house, disco and techno. As well as this, POOF DOOF will be tearing it up every Saturday night with upcoming performances from the likes of Courtney Act, Sneaky Sound System and RuPaul’s Drag Race superstars Coco Jumbo and Jojo Zaho to name a few.

Furthermore, punters will have more and more choices whilst at ivy with Boogie taking over the rooftop oasis, transforming the Pool Club with disco and house tunes all night. And they’ll be adding Jimmy’s Underground, a late night disco bar that is set to open next month.

“Covid has made people realise how important social connectivity is and appreciate what it feels like to dance and celebrate in a crowd. There’s a real positivity towards other people, which is what you need in a nightlife environment…We’re so invested in Sydney as a city and take our responsibility in driving its future seriously. We’re giving our team the tools, space and permission to go big, and create experiences that can fulfill the passion and exceed the expectations of the city. We need to keep this excitement alive” – Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes
