Earlier this month we brought you the latest track from Jerry Folk and his side project FENGSEL in ‘Everything’, and in quick succession the collaborations keep flowing from the two with another quirky and electrified single in ‘On My Way’ which also features BEARSON on the vocals.
What stands out for us in ‘On My Way’ is the eccentric instrumentation compiled, utilising various electronic elements such as the drums and robust synths/keys, that provides a sense of nostalgia from the 80s whilst maintaining a freshness through the free-flowing and carefree nature of BEARSON‘s vocals that provide plenty of charisma to the already confident mix.
“Bearson and I sat in the studio one day and tried to make something “medieval-sounding”. I put together a quick beat and Jakob (Bearson) freestyled some vocals over the track. We ended up making the whole song in an hour or so.” – Jerry Folk
