Flight Facilities - 'Lights Up' (feat. Channel Tres)

It’s not often that a track completely knocks you off your feet from the first second, but in the case of Flight Facilities‘ latest single ‘Lights Up’ which features none other than Channel Tres you simply can’t ignore the brilliance that is on offer.

In what is the Australian duo’s first single in over a year, ‘Lights Up’ immediately oozes swagger from the second it drops through the charismatic synth bass driving the flavour through the mix alongside Tres’ utterly irresistible melodies. Flight Facilities implement some of their trademark sounds into the soundscape as we travel through, such as the horns lighting things up in the background as well as the driving drums that enforce all in their path to get on their feet and dance.

“We’ve always loved the sound of the early Detroit House scene that crossed over with the Paradise Garage era. Combined with our love for Channel’s voice, it seemed like a perfect fit. His voice has a magical ability to make songs that are made for strutting. We felt it was important to keep enough of our sound and influence in the track, to avoid it sounding too derivative, so we wanted to include some 90’s and 00’s elements to give the song its own character.” – Flight Facilities
