Tora - 'Why Won't You Wait'

After relocating to Amsterdam from Byron Bay in 2020, Tora spent their lockdown time productively to expand their catalogue and begin writing for their next record – and this week they’ve announced not only their forthcoming album ‘A Force Majeure’ due in September, but their smashing first glimpse in ‘Why Won’t You Wait’ as well as news of an Australian tour in September.

Completely written, produced, mixed and mastered by the four-piece, ‘Why Won’t You Wait’ provides a sophistication in its instrumentation full of intricate guitar riffs and robust synths that set the soundscape alight whilst the strengthened backbone of deepened beats and smooth bass maintains the off-kilter nature of the tempo. Tora take things up a notch vocally in ‘Why Won’t You Wait’, with vocalist Jo Loewenthal utilising a playful approach in his melodies while exploring all registers of his range that keeps the listeners highly engaged through every single second of the offering.
